Allen Crabbe from California Wins StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week - February 11th, 2013

With a solid performance that included going up against the #7 team in the nation, Allen Crabbe, a 6-6 junior from California, has won the StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week. StatSheet's NCAA Freshman of the Week is St. John's's JaKarr Sampson and StatSheet's NCAA 6th Man of the Week is Saint Mary's's Beau Levesque. Crabbe put up a strong 23.5 points per game, 3 three pointers per game, and 5.5 assists per game in a win against 7th ranked Arizona and a loss to Arizona State.

Crabbe led all scoring for the Golden Bears with 16 points and added 6 assists in a 66-62 loss to Arizona State. He then led the team in scoring (31) and rebounding (7) in a 77-69 upset of Arizona.

This is the first StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week award for Allen Crabbe. The runner-up this week is Providence junior Kadeem Batts. Honorable mention goes to South Dakota State senior Nate Wolters.

StatSheet NCAA Freshman of the Week: St. John's's JaKarr Sampson

JaKarr Sampson played an average of 35 minutes starting both games for the Red Storm. In a 71-65 victory against Connecticut, Sampson led scoring with 18 points on 46% shooting. In a 77-58 loss to Syracuse, he led scoring and rebounding with 21 and 6.

This marks the first time this season that Sampson has won the StatSheet NCAA Freshman of the Week. The runner-up is Mitch McGary from Michigan. Marcus Smart from Oklahoma State takes honorable mention. A.J. Hammons, who finished 9th, was the highest ranking freshman for Purdue.

StatSheet NCAA 6th Man of the Week: Saint Mary's's Beau Levesque

Junior Beau Levesque averaged 29 minutes over two games for the Gaels. In a big 84-63 win over Santa Clara, Levesque led the Gaels in scoring with 24 points and adding 4 assists. Then in a 74-64 win over San Diego, he contributed 9 points and 3 assists.

This is the first time this season Levesque has won the StatSheet NCAA 6th Man of the Week award. Lee Goldsbrough, a junior forward from Providence, is runner-up. Cady Lalanne, a sophomore forward/center from Massachusetts, wins honorable mention.
